This wine is dedicated to Theresa and Sam Laurella, whose family has been making wine in the Walla Walla Valley since the early 1900’s when Theresa’s grandfather Joseph Spagnuolo migrated from Italy. Sam’s first crush was sixty years ago and today he continues his winemaking tradition by helping at Saviah Cellars. The family’s original wine press survived the prohibition era and is proudly displayed at Saviah Cellars.
Our Laurella is styled in a super-Tuscan fashion sharing new world winemaking with traditional grape varietals creating a luscious, balanced wine with spicy ripe cranberry and cherry tones followed by a silky long finish.
