Argentina’s most widely planted grape also does strikingly well in the Walla Walla Valley, especially at higher elevations. The inky purple color is a dead giveaway for Malbec. The berry-centric bouquet is the second giveaway…think blueberry cobbler! This wine opens with aromas of blueberry, huckleberry, marionberry, pepper and cocoa. A nicely structured wine with silky, smooth tannins which make it easy on the palate. Pair this Malbec with wild game, roasted pork, roast chicken with sage, or a bison burger with bacon and blue cheese. Enjoy!
