Handpicked and hand sorted fruit crushed into small open top stainless steel fermenters. The cap was gently punched down by hand three times per day. After gently pressing, the young wine was transferred to French oak barrels to complete fermentation.

17 months in French oak barrels. 25% New.
Tasting Notes
The 2021 Walla Walla Cabernet Franc is a stunning expression of the vintage. A gorgeous ruby hue in the glass with bold aromas and alluring layers of dark fruit, spice, and earthy undertones. Black cherry and red plum notes dominate, accented by hints of red cherry and garden herbs. Aromas of cigar box, tobacco leaf, and a touch of vanilla from oak aging add complexity, while subtle herbal nuances of sage and dried herbs lend a savory edge. On the palate, this Cabernet Franc showcases its full-bodied nature with velvety tannins and well-integrated acidity. Flavors of ripe berry and dark plum fill the mouth, complemented by touches of baking spices, such as cinnamon and clove. There’s a rich, textured mouthfeel, with layers of complexity unfolding with each sip.
